Directly opposite Munich’s main train station, a new hotel block was planned for the former location of the Hotel Metropol, which fits well into the prominent location and does justice to the heterogeneous and partly historical context.
The hotel complex comprises 380 rooms:
• 343 standard guest rooms
• 30 junior suites
• 7 suites
The seven-storey section at Goethestrasse 8 and the six-storey southern courtyard building opposite the neighbouring building at Mitterstrasse 3 are used as offices.
The main building extends as a perimeter block development from Bayerstrasse in the northern part to Goethestrasse 2–6 in the eastern part of the construction site. In addition to the hotel, two apartments were also built on the top floor of Goethestrasse 6.
