The hotel is located on the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen just next to the grounds of the Garmisch Military Post. Since a large number of U.S. soldiers are stationed in southern Germany to this day, a hotel and leisure centre was to be built for them and their relatives.
In terms of the basic structure, the individual buildings are developed like branches that extend out from a large lobby with a spacious driveway. In addition to the hotel rooms, there are also restaurants as well as sports and recreation areas. Externally, the building and its wooden loggias out front blends in well with the rural Bavarian landscape.
