The dormitory is located in the north of Munich’s Schwabing district. The student city is located directly in the English Garden near a subway station of the same name that can be accessed within a few minutes on foot, which directly connects students to the city centre and the university campus of Garching. Used as a student dormitory, the high-rise building is to be renovated and resume use after a period of vacancy. The existing building is approximately 65m long and approximately 15m wide. The building consists of a basement, ground floor and 11 upper floors. On each floor there are 30 partially furnished single rooms with a shower room and pantry kitchen as well as two partially furnished double rooms with a shower room and pantry kitchen, along with wheelchair-accessible rooms.

The goals of the core renovation are to upgrade fire protection, make the building barrier-free and expand the structure for better usability.
